  • GPU and render elements problems

    1. Hello, is this technically possible to have both environment fog and Phoenix fd explosion on GPU? Is this a thing to be resolved or it is impossible by technical aspects? Do you plan to cover it within next release, as in octane render?

    2. Second thing: How would you currently approach above scenario? I can't render any render elements in GPU because if doing so in native 3dsmax frame buffer Vray GPU doesnt render due to unknown exception in log window. I attach the scene below. Most recent vray next installed.

    3. Is there a way to save render passes in GPU via vray frame buffer? It works, but no passes are saved on disk, even with various configuration for render elements window.

Currently this is a limitaiton. You can workaround by making one big voxel with uniform intensity in it, and have the exlposion inside it. This video https://www.instagram.com/p/BhHZ7ULF...by=dabarti_cgi is rendered with this approach using V-Ray GPU.

I didn't really understoo the problem with render passes?
