  • Render Slave

So, when I use my render slave, which is wireless, my render times are longer. I copy all the files to my slave, which will take a few minutes, tops. Unless I click to copy missing assets, my renderings are rendering without textures. The textures are there, exactly as they are local, on my workstation, but they are not being seen. In asset tracking, the full path is the relative to the project folder. What am I doing wrong?

Why is your slave wireless? Where are your textures located in your scene?

The slave isn't wireless, but my workstation is. I never could get my data ports working. My router is in my garage, where the RenderPro is. I keep all the assets for each project in its project folder. I copy the project folder over to the slave, using backup software.

Yes. The same naming convention as well, although it doesn't matter since things are set to be relative to the project folder.

you could set up a google drive as a drive and then you have a folder to be sync with the GDrive in your WS and nodes.... in your WS, you copy the unique assets of the project to the folder then your nodes will sync automatically.

The Render Pro has a really small hard drive, so I have to be careful. I delete absolutely everything I don't need before I synchronize the two.
