    Modifier modifier ZORB > Materials > Right click VrayLightMTL > Select Objects > Go to Material Editor > Materials > Get from selected > Done.

        Lol? It's a script so it doesn't need recompiling (normally). Zorb can do a lot of things. But for finding stuff in your scene and selecting or whatnot it's the best script there is (imo). And not complicated at all. It's easier to use than 3dsmax itself.

          Other than that. I'm sure there's a script wiz here that can tell you the code for selecting objects with VrayLightMtl. But I've seen too many people asking more or less the same question here: aka how can I find this or that, or select this or that in my scene. Well this one does it all and very uncomplicated.

            Colin's Teague Scene Checker did it well, but it stopped working a couple MAX releases ago.
