I crash every other time when I press 8 on my keyboard. It does the same when I go to Rendering -> Effects. Anybody else? The AD forum said that the developers have a possible fix, however, I guess I have to wait months before it gets fixed.

Which version of Max? I have 2018.4 and 2016 SP5 installed and none of them exhibit this problem.

I am running MAX 2019, with the latest update. It started after the latest update

I tried a couple of production scenes and I wasn't able to crash them on 2019.2. I tried pressing 8 repeatedly and doing stuff in the Effects tab. Maybe it's something more specific that causes it in your case? I don't have anything installed on 2019 except for Vray and Forest Pack. Might be some script or plug-in that breaks it? Does it happen in an empty scene (File -> Reset)?

It happens on almost all scenes, but not new scenes. AD has a solution, so something must be known. I guess I have to wait until the next update.

It's a known bug on the AD end. Seems to only happens if you have loaded a render preset.

At least I know I am not crazy now! I am not loading any presets, at least not that I know of.
