  • hdri lowering?

I have a nice cloud HDRI as spherical. However when looking from up high down the lower area of the image is seen leaving a black horizon. I tried cropping placement. Also tried editing it in Photoshop with clone stamp but it does not look nice. How can a get a spherical half hdri image so that it lowers to the horizon? thanks!

what does wrap mode do? thanks but the image is a spherical. moving it down would leave black at top but maybe that would be ok. So not to adjust in vray/3dsmax?

It would be nice to be able do this is 3d. For example, a camera 360 of a car exterior where the camera changes height, you may want to slightly animate the horizon line to hit character lines of the car.

Why have a dome light at all then? Itd be nice to have the functionality of a dome light, but have an offset for the map in height as well as rotation.

Vray HDRI > Enable Crop > Height = 0.99 or lower = lowers your horizon. Just tested this, seems to work and hdri looks just as good with no seams (or I haven't found any). Of course your lighting's going to change too as you're placing it lower.
