I'm a little concerned about this idea that a 0.005 bucket render is the same as a 0.01 progressive render.... where is this coming from? Is this still the case?

There are differences between Engines, although both CPU and GPU can converge to cleanliness.
If in doubt, add a VRayNoiseLevel RE, and check the values in it.
Regardless of this, we thought about posting a few stickies in the coming days about some of the key parts of V-Ray, similar to the ram saving guide (now stickied too), so to try and avoid misunderstandings (some of which are entirely due to my poor use of the Bard's Language.).
Those will be proofed and authorised specifically, so they will be usable as official references (and may find their ways into the docs proper, at some later date.).

And I'm not even kidding, sometimes to the point of entirely skipping his posts to avoid brain aneurysm. It's as if he's writing poems instead of talking to a real person. And it's not like I haven't learned English for years and used it in conversation with native speakers. I hope that Lele takes this into account if his aim is to help people on this forum instead of confuse them.

Primarily the structure of the sentences. They are often not written in informal English and at times are obnoxiously long. Take just these few examples I briefly collected:- "Alessandro's approach, as you linked above, would suffer from the same issue, invisible with a still image: pull out with the camera, and hellow sizzling, or -while it still can be of any use- insane sampling."
- I have achieved this, if in a slightly more expensive way than doing so directly, through the export of the fPro parts i needed to proxy.
- I've been doing this in production for a decade (albeit the last time five years ago. With Shotgun, ofc.), without anything but performance out of the approach (the data for a sequence is often rendered the once, at least for each LnR variation within a geo/particle/vdb cache version), so additional load on anything isn't that big, all accounted for.
- Yeah, without the camera settings, there's not much point, as there isn't if you didn't get one Passport photographed in the same environment as the scan.
- Also, do you know of anything that's very good at the task you envision, as a term of paragon and possible inspiration?
All of these are either very confusingly written, or long, or both. I don't have the greatest circle of contacts in the world, but I've never once talked with a person that speaks like that. Even native English speakers. I hope you don't get offended by me saying this, as I don't mean it as a nagging. I'm just pointing out that while you may have the best intentions to help people on the forum (and I don't doubt that), the end result is actually the opposite. Especially to people with less than ideal command of English. Of course, all of this is my own personal opinion as a person that considers himself fluent in English, albeit non-native English speaker. I would recommend you to use a bit simpler language - use simpler and more commonly used sentence structures, say more with less words, use more popular words, and break longer sentences into shorter ones.
I hope that my criticism didn't bring any hard feelings. You're one of the greatest sources of info on this forum (and beyond) and I think you can be even more helpful if you take any of these suggestions.

Haha, that was legit.By the way, while I didn't understand the technical jargon, I understood the train of though perfectly well. Which is the biggest problem with Lele's posts. If I have to read a sentence at least 3 times to understand it, I think it is enough of a sign that something is slightly wrong with it. By the way, sorry for the heavy off-topic!
