  • Multiple versions of Vray???

Is it possible to run the 1.46.10 version of Vray in MAX 6 (which i am right now) and then have the newest version of Vray running in MAX 7 on the same machine. I haven't switched over to MAX 7 completely yet but i would like to begin using/learning the newest version of Vray.

Basically i want to have MAX 6 as my failsafe and then have MAX 7 be the test bed until i know for sure that it works the way that i need it to.

    Thanks.

It's possible to use multiple versions of VRay, although to my knowledge that is best accomplished by duplicating the max 7 folder and installing a different version of VRay into it... I would encourage you NOT to use max 7 while hoping to have 6 as a failsafe... If something bad happens (I don't think it would) you wouldn't be able to open the file in max 6... So, just upgrade to max 7, duplicate the max 7 folder if you want and have the latest rev in one folder and an older version in another folder...
