  • VRay D-Log

    Hey folks,

I'm currently working on incorporating some shots into drone footage that we had shot in 4K ProRes with a D-Log profile.

What is the best way to go about this? Do I use a LUT to correct the drone footage and then comp on top, or do I try to get VRay to render to D-Log, comp them together and then use a LUT to correct both?

Or should I do away with a LUT and grade by eye/scopes instead?

    Thanks in advance.

    Chris

you'd nearly always be better off linearising the incoming footage, render, comp, and re-convert to the output color space.
