    is there a way to get the light cache samples to be random for every frame in an animation?

    Why would you want that Daniel ? .. wouldnt that make it flicker?

      Untick the "Time-independent" option in the QMC sampler rollout.

        yes it might, but I have to try it as it is now and I decide to tolerate a little noice in the animation it looks as if its on the camera lens like some sort of filter. I donĀ“t kow what to do aboute this so I will try this. Thanks vlado. Do this allso have effect on the lights and glossys?

            Wow that's the next great thing today - we often had trouble using dof because of the static grain... always thought that you could not change it as the "lock to pixels" option was gone.
            This signature is only a temporary solution
