  • Vray elements appearance in viewport

I'm using more and more viewport image captures for showing work in progress, my main problem are:

    1. Some Vray shaders don't show properly, some things are pitch black, etc. Is there a setting to change that same as there's one for the material editor?

    2. Vray displacements don't show at all on viewport, I think that with realtime shaders now you can show displacements on the viewport, correct? if so wouldn't make sense if Vray shaders (all settings, not just displacement, but also Vray materials, lights. etc) should be able to display somehow accurately in the viewport with some technology for realtime engine like DX shaders or something like that?

    Thanks,

    Gustavo

    1. You should always be able to view atleast some level of the material , just have to go to that level of the material, say the bitmap, and make that visible, even scanline has difficulty showing the result of some materials...

    2. Come on are you serious? You can get a good idea of the displacement amount by either using the bounding box method in the displacement or by using the max displacement to temporarily see an aproximation .
