  • Infinite Pixel Values, why?

    Hi
We often get infinite pixel values in Vray render elements, as you can see in the example: The red channel is marked "#INF". In this case it's a velocity pass, but we got this with World Position and Z-depth as well.
It means every mathematical function is not working here. The frame simply fails. I'm asking: Why not put in the highest possible value for the bitdepth? Even if it doesn't make sense, but at least you can add, subtract, devide, multiply. We have to clamp these (non) values anyway to make it work.

    thanks
    Michael

BTW, still on Vray 3.6, maybe it's fixed in Next?

Could you please send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take an in-depth look? Please mention this forum thread in the e-mail.
