  • mass edit trace sets

ive got 600 water droplets which are sometimes refracting a super bright object. i suspect its a vray light.(which is set to be invisible) doesnt appear to be a way to set vray lights to be invisible for refraction but visible in reflections?

    i thought "trace sets..! "

then i realised that you can only set the trace set properties for one object at a time. so.. doing it 600 times? no thanks!

    solutions?

Is attaching the droplets in a single object a solution?

no they are all keyframed individually, exported from tyflow. i *could* collapse them, but it would be using a third party script or something, and an animated mesh that complex would probably be pretty ugly performance wise.

You should be able to easily script this, no?

that would be perfect, apart from the fact ive discovered that you cant put lights in a trace set ( so ive found a workaround.
