  • 2 sided material with Material Wrapper problem

Ok, I don't know if the problem is at my end or not. I would like to create a 2 sided material (VRay2SidedMtl) where side one is a regular VRayMtl and side 2 has a VRayMtlWrapper as the submaterial. The purpose of this is so that the first side has alpha and the second side does not (by setting the Matte Properties Alpha Contribution to -1. If I can't achieve this effect this way does anyone have any alternatives? thanx.

Hello? Does anyone from Chaos know why I can't do this?

Off the top of my head, as I'm afk, possibly try an opacity bitmap in the one you want effectively transparent - may work fine. If you see what I mean, that is

I just tested this and it's as simple as making the material totally refractive and choosing either colour+alpha or all channels.

Thank-you, you are correct it is just that simple. Sometimes one overthinks things and makes them harder than they need to be. I should have thought of this myself, no excuses. Thanx for the answer.
