  • Vraylightmaterial limitations

Vraylightmaterial does not create GI or bounced light within a VDB object cloud. Is there a way to get this working?
I'm currently using Tylow with a light material applied. I either need to get light material working within the VDB object or convert the particles (somehow) to vraylights which work fine.

Here is the scene. You'll need to import a VDB cloud.

Hmm. It seems it is because Tyflow is using a vraylightmaterial. If I apply the same material to a sphere and place it inside the cloud it works fine. Maybe this is a bug of Tyflow or some kind of limitation of vraylightmaterial ?

ok. In the end I used tymesher. This converts all particles to meshes and this method works fine. Not sure why vraylightmaterial woud be having issues with particles though.
