  • vray HDRI and vray Dome light, is there a difference between exposure of map and intensity of light?

Not sure how this is working under the hood, does increasing the intensity of the light work the same as increasing the exposure? I have been leaving the light intensity at 1 and increasing the exposure as I assume this will shoot a reasonable number of photons into the scene... but I don't really know the difference.

They both multiply the map value.
Exposure is often 2^n where n is exposure value (f-stops), while the light intensity is a straight multiplication.
Should you, however, use the vrayHDRI multiplier, that'd be identical to using the light's.
