  • Does hybrid rendering use CPUs on slaves too?

Is it possible to use the CPUs on slave machines in hybrid rendering?

    My main rig is using 2x 2080ti and a 7980xe, and my slave has 2x 1080ti and 2x 2680v3 (24 cores).

Hybrid rendering isn't using the 24 cores on the slave. Is that the way it is or am I missing something.

    Thanks

    Hello,

The choice which devices to use for rendering happens per machine. You should run the vray_gpu_device_select tool on the slave once and there choose which devices to participate in the rendering. You need to do it only once and do it before starting the V-Ray standalone on that machine.
