i have a normal mapped material. it renders completely differently on gpu.. the texture is much more detailed but noisy, and i get facetting in some areas. on cpu its smoother, but has no facetting. i can tweak this on cpu by adjusting texture blur.. default of 1.0 is smooth, 0 filtering is super detailed but has facetting and takes ages to refine.
on gpu, the blur and filtering controls do nothing. and the default behaviour is too sharp..(with facetting artifacts) i wish to soften the texture. to be more similar to default cpu render. being a normal map i cant just blur it in photoshop (can i?) .. how do i control texture filtering on gpu?
