    3DS Max 2020 Error when renderings locally

    [V-Ray] Error, Failed to Allocate 67108864 bytes, device 0, buffer

    Any ideas where to start on the error??? Max is updated, Lasted Vray NEXT GPU renderer. Latest Nvidia Drivers. Win 10 Surface Book 2.

      Microsoft Surface Book 2.

        You get that error when you have run out of virtual memory on your graphics card, I am guessing your card is the 3GB version?

          This tool https://www.techspot.com/downloads/4...ps-viewer.html might shed some light on where your virtual memory is being allocated so you can optimize what is being loaded onto your graphics card at render time. Really dense mesh or a mesh with high amounts of turbosmooth and turning off in-camera motion blur or depth of field are usually good places to start decreasing the necessary virtual memory to render your scene.
