  • 3gig problem

3 gig switch seems to mess up something for me. when i open max my refresh rate in max is screwed. when i rotate around simple objects it does it stiffly and it doesnt do this when booting in normal windows mode.
i have no idea what it could be. just for the record i have a supermicro serverboard thats a super x5dae and for a view card its a simple gf4 ti 4600. ive tried AE, Photoshop and premiere and i dont get any problems with those programs with refresh rates of the viewports. only with 3dsmax. a simple teapot in the scene and i try to rotate around it and it and its is a jerky motion.

try updating your video drivers. Also try different view modes in max. ie opengl, directx and so on.

You could also try experimenting with different agp aperture sizes in you computer's bios, might help.
