  • Vray clipper doesn't update on viewport.

    Hi there.

I noticed that the vray clipper won't auto update on viewport toguether with other things.

If I use custom mesh as clipper, and has mesh animation like with a noise modifier won't update on viewport, so makes it a bit hard to do the animations.

    A work around I tried:
So my next thing would be lets copy that modifier to another object set up the animation there and then paste it back. But like the copy function is off in the modifier panel...
I could find another workaround for this: drag an drop the modifier to another object. then efectively copy the modifier.

Well just wanted to point some things out with the clipper.

The VRayClipper is calculated during rendering, hence the lack of preview in the viewport. You may try using IPR/Viewport IPR for this purpose.

      Thankyou for the reply.

      Not exaclty what I meant
Of course the Clip occurs on rendering, I'm talking more about if there is an animated mesh attached to it.
For instance to simulate the water surface of a glass with a noise cut.

I attach an image for better understanding.

Of course in the render will respect the animation, but there is no feedback on the viewport to setup the animation. Well is not a big issue but defenitly would help to have feedback on viewport while doing more complicated effects.
      Thankyou.
