  • Render nodes missing maps

All of a sudden, there's 3 out of 5 nodes that are rendering black buckets. I've rebooted the nodes in question, made sure the drive paths are correct, made sure "include maps" is selected prior to sending the job, etc. No luck. Renders just fine locally, but not as DR/BB. Before I reinstall V-Ray on them, I wondered if anyone had ideas?
    Thanks.

Did reinstalling the node's V-Ray solve the issue? Try updating all nodes to the latest V-Ray NEXT, update 3.1 and also check the 'Transfer missing assets' options (with DR) and see if that makes any difference.

      Hi Dave,

Most of the time “bucketing” occurs when the assets/maps used in your scene are not accessible to the render nodes, throughout your network.
We are in the final phase of development of our Render Manager software, that amongst a lot of handy features, also features an asset and network location check, where you can see all your resources used in your file, and the accessibility of these maps for your nodes, so you can avoidspending time on renders and seeing this issue only after its finished.
You can try it out for yourself, just to go https://pulze.io/products/render-manager to get a free trial.
