I was reading about all this linear space business which makes sense for the most part. However, I'm used to using exponential color mapping vs. linear color mapping due to the fact that I do interiors often with standard shadow-mapped lights ('cause their faster) and exponential prevents super hotspots on the walls near the lights.
How else can I avoid the hotspots and still have linear mapping AND inverse decay lighting?
I want to have my cake and eat it too.
