Hi,
Is there any plan to make vray supporting instancing features of Cebas thinkingParticles (not via vray instancer, but using the instancing feature tP have 'natively') ?
This could be a big deal.
on a 64GB system with Vray next 3uptade 1
-GeomInstance and Instance set in tP (MD and node)-> RAM :60GB then swap | Rendertime: unhandle exception error, render Stop (50K default teapot is nearly the limit we could render on a 64GB system, with more than 20GB of swap)
-GeomInstance and NO instance on tP side -> same as previous (50K default teapot is nearly the limit we could render on a 64GB system, with more than 20GB of swap)
-Vray instancer on tP (limited support) : RAM 1.45GB (3.4GB with 200 000 instances) | RenderTime : 46s
-Frost with Vray instance option : RAM:1.4GB (1.5GB with 200 000 instances | RenderTime:21s (this is the more close we could use to have same controle as tP directly)
-Frost with no Vray instance : same as tP workflow ((50K default teapot is nearly the limit we could render on a 64GB system, with more than 20GB of swap)
