Force Color Clamping in VBR

I've just switched to V-Ray and I'm trying to get my head round it.

In the VBR, the Force Color Clamping button has nothing to do with saved output? It's just to show clamping in the VFB?

It's just a preview.
To actually clamp the colors you will need to enable clamp option under color mapping rollout in render settings and set the clamp value.
If you want to compress the dynamic range to remove/reduce the burning, use highlight burn from color correction
