Hi there,
currently I am at the topic of baking textures
1.) with lights (using just as self-illum)
2.) without lights (to get simplified maps, also for exchange with maya)
3.) and ideas to get something exported to substance, which means PBR workflow
for 1)
I tested today "Vray Baking to texture"
and it seems not to work with VrayBlendMaterial (uses maybe only one input of it)
also it is limited to 2k
Is that up-to-date or is out there anything I do not know maybe?
Or any scripts that are working in Max2020? (I can't imagine that nobody is needing this, so I gues there must be workflows or scripts...)
for 2)
It seems that the renderlements of "Vray Baking to Texture" would do the trick, as long as it is a standard material.
for 3)
seems currently impossible, to come from spec-glossiness to PBR-metallness.
right or not?
Thanks
