  • Multiple Clippers and Clip Hierarchy

I have a VrayClipper on Mesh mode creating a isometric section. This is set up so light only comes in through existing windows rather than the section cut (affects lights off). So far everything is working just I would expect. Now, however, I would like to use multiple other clippers on mesh mode, affect lights on, to create new windows iteratively and visualize the new interior lighting. The original clipper still blocks the light from those new 'openings'. I understand the clipper does not actually affect geometry but why is it the first clipper does not respect these new (fake) openings? Is there a clipping order hidden somewhere?

    Hello,

What happens if you exclude the main clipper from the additional clipper (i.e add the main clipper to the exclude list of the additional clippers that create new windows) ?

    Best regards,

Thanks for the reply. Your solution worked! I thought for sure I had tried that but apparently not - too many hours in front of the screen = user error.

I'm noticing that 'ghost' geometry appears where clippers in mesh mode overlap (see attached image of a test scene).

For the 'ghost' geometry - it happens when the two clippers intersect - could you make the smaller one entirely inside the bigger one ?
