  • VFB button Render Last vs Render

As some of you may know, the teapot button in the VFB is executing "Render Last" (F9) action and not "Render" (Shift+Q or Render button in Render Setup) which sometimes can bring some unexpected results. Should we change it?

Change it to "Render", it's been bugging me since forever.

If it was that easy, it would have already been done

Can you make this an option somewhere and make everyone happy?
    www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

So someone could say that the UI is cluttered with all kinds of options ?

I would vote for changing it .. it bring so much confusion, especially for new users.
if someone didn't like it , F9 shortcut is still available .

Touche! You probably have a point though. However, unlike what Max describes above I feel that the having it function like a regular render button is confusing. Since the VFB is usually opened after a rendering is started (or finished) I always thought of this button working as a "rerender" button (even that's the same as Render Last. Changing it to plain render seems like it would lead to more incorrect renders at least for me.

Depends on the workflow I usually open the VFB manually to launch the IPR.
