IPR is Crashing since installing HF#2 in VR 5?
Hi All,
My first post, love VR.
Let's get this out of the way:
Max 2021/Vray5HR#2/Substance suite(with nag screen that fires every time I push a button, and it's driving me nuts),FP and RC. That's it.
I started a file in max recently, loaded a file I have been working on since pre hot fixes, and suddenly, I can no longer start the IPR without freezing max and Vray. Ironically, I can do a production render just fine, and if I switch to Arnold, it renders fine as well.
So I'm getting "cannot start distributed rendering" error message, but I am not rendering in the GPU (which is the only place I know to look for a DR switch), but even if I set the render to GPU, and then go into the DR settings, there it is set to off (not on).
Also, I seem to be looping between "embry cache", and DR (I believe, as it flashes quickly in the message gizmo in the VFB), such that the IPR never really starts, it hangs in that place where the image just looks like a pixalated mess, and it loops there and locks up my rig.
I'm wondering if I've accidentally flipped a switch somewhere, as scrolling through the settings takes some cation, I've found, or?.
Anyway, and help or insight would be super appreciated.
