When using the denoiser, any automatic save of the frame buffer saves only the EffectsResult channel. I want to save the original RGB color channel as well but I don't see that as an available channel. I know I can save ALL of the channels via the Frame buffer rollout ("Separate render channels") but is there a way to save ONLY the original RGB and the denoised version? I don't need to save any of the other channels that I have set up (reflection, sample rate, etc) but would like to keep them active as they are obviously helpful.

Save original RGB Color AND Denoised version?

The way we have been doing it is turning the denoiser off, save the channel. Turn the denoiser on and again save.
I'm not really liking the logic either as for some reason everything gets baked in to the rgb pass....oh and we've also had the rgb pass saving without the exposure settings being applied aswell. Seems inconsistent.

I only have the denoiser go into the effects channel so I can simply switch channels in the frame buffer and save them manually. I'm primarily wanting a way to save both channels automatically when a long render is completed, but without having to save out ALL of the channels.. I often use both the denoised and rgb image in photoshop and blend between them as I always feel that the denoiser looses too much detail in some areas.www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. Currently, the method dean_dmoo described is the way to go. We'll consider adding another method for saving selected channels.

Just to add to this as we are running into something that I think isn't consistent in the logic how it is now set up.
In the basis the passes get saved without the effects channel when the denoiser and/or lens effects isn't active. However this is also the case when adding exposure/toning edits.
From a logic standpoint, imo, any edits done in the display correction panel should be saved in the effects channel pass when saving out the passes. We are now doing the following to get the correct passes;
step 1: Save all passes to individual images (base rgb without exposure gets saved even though we have the settings turned on)
step 2: Save effects channel pass with only exposure/toning (we have to do this because step 1 ignores the exposure/toning)
step 3: Save effects channel pass with only exposure/toning + denoiser
step 4: Save effects channel pass with only exposure/toning + denoiser + lens effects
Personally I would expect that step 1 and 2 should be a single step, as it used to be with Next ect. If I have set up exposure/toning then in step 1 the effects channel should be saved with those edits. Obviously the preferred option, for us, would be an option to choose our own effects channel set up and be able to add multiple versions within the stack. (effectschannel01 (exposure) + effectschannel02 (exposure+denoiser) + effectschannel03 (exposure+denoiser+lenseffects).
But it's mostly step1&step2 which I find inconsistent atm.
