  • DR bucket errors with too big texture maps?

Are there any known issues with (what I call) medium big texture maps and errors in dr buckets? Maps are 8 bit jpg with 25000x1050px. 6 pcs loaded in multitexture map. Small interior scene. It's rendering without any text warning or error, but some buckets seems to ignore the texture map. Seems like I solved the issue here now with scaling them down to 7000px. However, that's a workaround, not a solution. Wondering what the real problem is. RAM? Getting bucket errors even on some of the hardcore nodes, so it seems very unlikely. Overriding the material with a plain vraymtl renders without errors, so it should be something with the texture maps and not with the lighting, as far as I see it.

    Anyone?

Have you tried to convert the textures to .tx?
Are they loaded with vrayBitmap loaders?

Did not convert to .tx and did not use vrayBitmap node. It's jpg 8bit loaded with bitmap node.

Do try the process (right-mouse click menu.), and see if it makes things better.
If it's either memory (the bitmap loader going bonkers), or infrastructure (the loaders can't load the thing in time and give up.), both ought to be much better with .tx inside a vrayBitmap node.

Edit: it could of course be a bug on us. i'm just trying to troubleshoot before we are sure it is.
