  • Can you export to Adobe Illustrator?

    Hey all,

For today's conundrum, my manager has asked if I can export my renders to an appropriate file that will work as a vector in Adobe Illustrator.

As far as I know I would just do a normal render and then image trace in Illustrator but I thought it best to ask you experts just in case there is something more direct?

I'm using Vray Toon shaders and the outlines. Is there something I can do directly or maybe a plugin that lets me output SVGs? I tried an EPS files and it just imports into Illustrator as raw code.

    Thanks!

I doubt there would be a way of converting a render to vector in V-ray or Max.

There are some websites that will "convert" raster images to vector. I don't remember which ones off hand, but I've used them before with decent results.

Thanks, I was aware of this method but from what I can see, it won't be the same sort of look as I get from Vray. Kinda want to keep the reflections on the model instead of being purely flat. I'll give the demo a go though and see what I can get out of it.
