  • Reuse of saved lightmix and VBF layer tree files

    Hi.

Want to understand a little more about the composition process of VBF2.
    1. What happens if I saved the above files but moved some of the lighting or deleted some of them? Is it then possible to reuse the saved lightmix file?
    2. Same as 1 but this time I deleted or added objects in the scene
    3. Why is it possible to save both the lightmix file and the vfbl file?
After all, the vfbl file also keeps the lightmix in it - am I right?
    Thanks

    1. and 2. Yes, it will be possible to reuse the lightmix preset file if some lights are moved or deleted, however, if there are new (not instanced) lights added in the scene, you will have to adjust them to your desire additionally. The preset will contain information only about what has been originally set in the scene.

    3. The purpose of the .vfbl layer tree preset is to store information regarding all the corrections layers applied through the VFB (e.g. exposure, hue, curves, lightmix, etc.) combined. There is also a possibility to save (and load) separate presets for each adjustment layer (exposure - .vlpexp; lens effects - .vlpfx; white balance - .vlpwb, etc.) Hope that makes it more clear.
