  • IES lights - is possible to hide light visibility in reflections?

    Hi guys,

I have lit a scene using IES lights. I was having some firefly issues with reflective surfaces, and noticed these are caused by IES lights being visible in reflections.

Is it possible to hide IES lights in reflections only? Regular V-Ray light has the "Affect reflections"-option, but I couldn't find anything similar in VrayIES. Disabling Area speculars from the lights helped a bit, but ideally I wouldn't want the light shape to be visible.

Typical workarounds like lowering ray intensity did not seem to help with this particular scene.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kuubi,

You may try using Trace Sets from the V-Ray properties (right-click on an object > V-Ray properties > Trace sets > Reflection Exclude) to exclude the objects affecting reflections.
