Hey, just mucking around with maps for refraction/transparency
I'm curious as to how the opacity/transparency/refraction settings interrelate... it's kind of confusing, since a refraction map doesn't appear to be the refractive index map, and since the refraction spinner seems to control transparency, why is there a separate transparency map setting, and if it's called "opacity" instead, why is white fully transparent (unless I'm stoopid) rather than opaque - shouldn't it be the other way round?
