  • Renderoutput auto generate name

Hi, Any chance to make some kinda expression for auto naming renderoutput? For example render_<version/scene_name>_<camera>_<date> to receive something like this render_v001_CAM_HERO_01_20112020.exr
Or it's too hard for 3ds max?)

You can use a pre-render script (as in, before the render starts) to set up your paths.
That was the norm the last time i produced anything.
If you wanted to push it further, with some Python you could link to Shotgun or similar, and pull all the data to build names from it (again, the last company i produced with had this set up.).

Or, of course, use a third party render manager, like suggested above.

But no, inlined variables aren't a thing for max.

          Heck yes.
I'd truly suggest you to get into that, it's a very valuable commodity to possess and trade.
