I've been a long time user (one man freelancer) and finding the upgrade costs getting prohibitive - especially in these times.
The upgrade from Vray next to Vray 5 with the 'Black Friday' discount has a whopping 5% discount to £432+vat, for what looks like a nice to have - but not necessary upgrade.
Given that upgrade prices are pushing upwards year-upon-year, it would seem like a gap is developing in the pricing structure. Surely this could work in Chaos Group's favour by offering an indie licence for freelancers with revenues under, say $100,000.
This would enable the smaller shops to stay current and keep Chaos Group as a go-to solution for all segments of the market - not just the more affluent companies.
As for me, the value proposition of £500 upgrade for what I see isn't there.
