vray 5 material preview bump

Hi,
I have an old facade material I made, simple, only diffuse colour with bump and in the preview I don't see bump at all, like it's smooth white. In the Next I saw bump perfectly.

Also is there a way to drag and drop the new vray mat lib more easily? Like if I already have a multi sub and click one of the subs I can't seem to just add the material from the new library. I have to open the library, add the material to an emty slot, and then drag/drop that to my sub. Or am I doing it wrong?

Try adding a VRayBumpNormals for a closer inspection of the applied bump map, if it is still not present do send screencaps and a sample scene, illustrating the issue.

Regarding the library, you can manually add the .mat files (C:\Users\<user>\Documents\V-Ray Material Library) as libraries in the Material browser if that's what you mean.

Hi,
sorry for such a late reply. Here's a screencap, and please remind me where and how can I upload the scene? It's 18MB, only a box with this material.

For the material library, not sure if I was doing something wrong, or there was an update with the latest vray but what I want works now.

Thank you for the provided scene. Ah, it concerns the material preview, excuse me about that. It seems the VRayColor2Bump indeed does not have an impact on the preview (most likely because of its internal calculations). We'll see if we can do something about that.

EDIT: I logged an issue (internal bug-tracker id: VMAX-10864) about the matter for developer investigation.
