Skylight portals are dead in 2021 ...right?

I just want to check... using skylight portals for interior scenes is a defunct workflow in Vray5 right? I can spot any obvious differences with or without on a basic mtl override scene, but I just wondered because it's still an option in the plane light.

More or less, yes. The Adaptive dome light is currently easier to work with and is recommended instead.

Thanks. What about if using Vray Sky Enviroment? Is it still best to plug this in to an adaptive dome, rather than the 3DSMax environment slot? Or would it make no difference?
