V-Ray 5 Install on Windows7?

Will V-Ray 5 install on a Windows 7 workstation or will the installer refuse? (I see the system requirements show Windows 8.1 as a minimum).

I have a perfectly functioning Windows 7 workstation in my pipeline with lots of apps setup and I'm reluctant to perturb this system (and the pipeline) by trying to upgrade the OS at this point.
