Is there a way to 'birth' fur from the displaced surface of mesh when using VrayDisplacment modifier?
I'm guessing not because the modifier only comes in to play at render time.
The best I could think of was using the same map to drive the hair length, but randomisation in bend and curl throws this off.
I need to use that modifier because I need the edge continuity it provides.
