  • How to animate a focus pull???

I'm trying to find a way to animate a focus pull via Target distance in the VRay Physical Camera. The trouble is that a change in value doesn't seem to stick when the keyframe is created. Any thoughts or workarounds???

    Thanks.

This does work as expected....how are you trying to do it?
You can either animate the target directly or animate the change in focus distance.

@fixeighted Still no luck. I set a keyframe for camera and target, advance to spot where I want new focus to be and adjust Focus Distance to new setting. I set a new keyframe for camera and target. When I play it back, Focus Distance remains at the original setting.

UPDATE: Seems to work with Autokey only...

Yeah it is a bit flaky...I forgot that.
So go to a frame, turn on animate and just click the spinner up a notch.....it will then create a keyframe at the beginning and where you now are.
Then you can freely change those values.
You can of course manually animate the target if you wanted to do it that way.
