  • vraybitmap - is there a way to drag-and-drop a bitmap into the bitmap slot?

i know i can drag-n-drop into the mapping source, but is there a way to drag-n-drop without having to hunt on the network for a bitmap?

for example, using the slate material editor. i'd like to drag a bitmap from open network folder into the slate material editor - and then drag a connector from it to the vraybitmap.

    thanks

It works. Make sure you start 3ds Max not in Administrator mode.

Did you try dropping the bitmap into the text field where it says "Bitmap: "? (just above the Reload, View Image, Locate buttons)

wow sorry guys, i never even thought to try drag-n-drop into the white text-box above reload | view image | locate. that works perfect! i just drag it there from the network folder instead of dragging the bitmap to the slate material editor field (ha, which creates a 3dsMax bitmap). thanks!
