Some while ago, I successfully added my own materials to the V-Ray Material Library Browser, using 3DS Max 2021......
Having to now use 3DS Max 2020, I soon realised that I should have performed this task using 2020 because of course backwards compatibility would always be an issue.
So yesterday I found and employed a script to re-create all the *.mat files down from 2021 to their 3DS Max 2020 versions.
However, when in 3DS Max 2020, the previews don't work in the Library Browser (I get a 'sad face' image for all my custom library materials).
Please can you tell me if there is a quick step (that I missed) and if so, what it is I need to perform just to get the previews images in the V-Ray Material Library Browser visible and working for both 2020 and 2021?
(to recreate all my materials from scratch in 3DS Max 2020 would take a lot of time, so fingers crossed there is a quick and simple solution out there
).
Many thanks.
