  • caustics and animation

Having never 'dabbled' with caustics before, and now trying to go in at the deep end by having an animation with caustics *going through* a revolving door, I just wondered if the 'caustics bit' of the solution is saved with the irmap as normal.
    Kind Regards,
    Richard Birket

It depends on whether you are using GI caustics, or photon-mapped caustics (from the Caustics rollout in VRay). In first case - yes, they are saved with the irradiance map. In the second case - no, but there is an option to save the caustics file separately.
