  • 3ds Max to Houdini workflow

    Hi all,

    I have many separate assets with VRay materials in 3ds Max and want to import them, one by one, into Houdini. What is the best workflow and format to do that? Have tried both .vrscene and fbx, but materials and textures don´t seem to follow.

    That's almost impossible task unless you only use bitmaps. We always had to rebuilt shaders in Houdini.

      hmm. is there any documentation describing what nodes in a 3ds Max material tree that will follow and which will not?
