  • slightly OT: RPF motion blur through glass

We typically render rpfs from VRAY and use combustion to add RPF Motion Blur in post. I don't think this will work when my base rpfs include lots of windows and planar glazing - ie, there will be no 'z-depth' beyond the glass.

Does anyone have experience of this?
    Kind Regards,

both z depth channels and velocity channels don't work well when you have objects that have transparency infront of other objects. since z depth is grey scale information there is no way to show transparency in that pass without invalidating the results.

You may have to render out separate passes to get the effects you want for the glass and the objects behind the glass.
