How to deactivate some renderelements without deleting?

Hello,
since render elements are always displayed as "Off" in Max (which is quite confusing and hopefully fixed one day)
I don't see a way to disable only some of them without haveing to delete them.
Or is it possible?

It is off so as not to have two framebuffers popping out (3ds Max Native and V-Ray). Disabling the VFB would automatically enable them all. Otherwise, there is a checkbox called "VRayVFB" in each AOV, it acts as a enable/disable switch.
