  • Render pass / mask light beam primary surface contact?

    Hello V-Ray & Chaos Group friends, it turned out to be way under a year before another one of my odd questions.

    Not sure if this is even positive or painfully simple, as I write this I barley know where I am on the surface of the Earth.

    Is there a way of setting up a pass / mask / matte to render out only the initial surface contact of a V-Ray light that has a high directional value?

    So imagine like a flood-light or spotlight, is it possible to only render what the beam initially strikes but not the secondary bounces outside of the beam projection area?

    If this were ten years ago I feel my mental plasticity might lead me to kind of have a clue independently, but this current older brain has to lean on others more and more as time unfolds.
