  • Banal vray plane matte question

So I keep struggling with this. I use vrayplane as ground outside my archviz scenes so light enters more naturally if I don't have any 3D background for that scene. If I check matte object, matte for refl/refr and alpha -1 I don't see it in alpha (which is what I need) but then it's not contributing to light bounces either. My matte object/ground is always behind the glass. So is there a way to achieve what I need?

Simply making it invisible to camera should do what you need

Using a Secondary matte environment (Render setup>V-Ray>Environment) should do the trick, although note that it affects how the matte object is seen in reflections and refractions as well.
