  • Override Material Settings with MaxScript

    Hello,
Is it possible to access the Override Material Settings (Preserve Original: Bump, Refraction, Reflection, Opacity, Self Illumination, Displacement) in the Render Settings > V-Ray > Global Switches?
I don't see any attributes related to that on the renderers.current object.

There is no scripting access, currently.
    I've however submitted your request ( VMAX-11698 ).

        Unfortunately, no.
I asked again, but finding a free developer to get this done is quite difficult, right now.
We'll update you as soon as there are news.

Very close, it's in code review.

Has this feature been already implemented?

It's in stable builds, and will come in the next update, yes.

Ha! What an emotional rollercoaster reading this thread. Looks like it won't be done in time for my needs, but after 2 years of back and forth to miss it by a week or two lol.

You should not have any specific issue using a stable build over the (next) release.
Meaning that whatever new feature has found its way in the stable builds is already deemed good enough for release.
Nightlies are a different matter altogether, and are much more experimental, but for those special access is needed.
